WHO WE ARE

ORIGIN

When we were kids, some of our parents connected through Facebook, hoping to find others who used the same donor. As the group grew, families began meeting up in real life—starting small with parks and zoos, and eventually planning bigger trips like Disney.

Most of us found each other later through DNA testing sites like Ancestry and 23andMe. A few of us even had the chance to meet our donor, David, before he passed away. Now, the 1223 Sibs is a mix of group chats, reunions, and shared stories—proof that family can form in unexpected ways.

1223 SIBS

We’re the 1223 Sibs—a group of around 60 half-siblings, all donor-conceived using sperm donor number 1223. Most of us found each other through DNA testing sites like Ancestry and 23andMe. Even though we grew up in different homes, we’ve built a community based on shared DNA and a unique connection.
